I have an Acer Aspire AH340 WHS with 3 1-TB hard drives installed and working. I would like to add a 2-TB drive in the fourth drive slot. Are there any restrictions on adding the fourth hard drive to this box?
I seem to remember reading somewhere that the drives must be of equal capacity.
Thank you.

One of the nice features of the Drive Extender system that runs the storage in WHS is that you don't have to have identically sized drives, you can add any size drive you like (unlike standard RAID, which may be what you're thinking about). DE will dynamically allocate data across all the drives, regardless of capacity.

Hi,
As i know there was not a any problem to add fourth hard drive in your system, it just like a you add another room in your pre 3BHK flat.
If any effect affected that is it little bit slow down your processing speed not much then.
