Hi,

I hope this post is in the right area, I`m looking for some people to test a new Add In i`ve just make.

A little background, I have a NAS drive (Network Attached Storage) in my loft, it`s there as security just incase anybody steals my WHS which is in my office. I have to manually backup all of my shares to the NAS in the loft. I know there are some backup programs and in fact the NAS came with one, but they are usually too complicated for the simple use I needed and Didnt integrate with WHS. So I decided to make my own backup program with FULL WHS interaction.

At the moment I have tested it extensively, trying to work out every possible error/problem etc and have got rid of a lot of bugs, the back up is working flawlessly at my house, but I wanted others to test it to see wha they thought.

The installer is a .exe file and needs to be installed ON the home server, not through the console. The installer installs the main backup engine and the WHS add in at the same time, from then on you can run it through the console.

Just PM me or reply to this if you want to download it.. I`ll try to add a screen shot to the post for you.Posted Image

Hi. I would be interested in looking at backup apps for WHS, particularly if they provide a way to quickly & easily backup & restore the WHS system volume.

Has this been released? It would seem to be very useful. The only way I know how to do it is with robocopy and it's not ideal.
